This ranking is based on data collected on hitparadeitalia Web site. Some discrepancies and errors are present there. Evident errors are corrected. In all other doubtful cases the following rule is taken into account:

“If it's not on the Web, it doesn't exist at all”

Following that rule, 45s that can't be traced in Internet are omitted.
