US Minor Hits 1970 Part 1 & Part 2

The already posted files contain all US Top 20 hits, released also in the UK. I have decided to add some more hits from Hot 100 - my subjective selection. I’ve been selecting rather hits that are a continuation of the music from the 1960s, not representing new trends of the 1970s. Many such hits in 1970 and I have selected 6x30=180, many of them released in 1969, single edits only, several B-sides.

We're on the same wavelength George. To explain: I have saved all hit parade years in 2 folders on my hard drives. A folder with the official charts and a folder with my favorite songs of the year. And I find a lot of my favorite songs from 1970 in your part 21.
If I remember correctly, the first half of the 70s (Glamrock etc) was not my kind of music. thank you once again.
Best wishes from Ernie

Its certainly an interesting subject. For example I've long thought that Jeff Lynne's work with ELO on tracks such as Mr Blue Sky were the extension and development of his particular style of UK Pop Psychedelia beyond the 1960's. Not only that but so many of the 'new' stars of the early mid seventies had been around for much of the sixties.

Obviously, many artists that have reached top in artistic career in the 1970s, started in the 1960s. When adding minor US hits, I will focus on such artists. Many in 1970, much less in later years, just few in 1979.
