Many thanks. Now 22 are missing (I have found Ray Stevens CD with all Monument singles and purchased it immediately, should reach my log house within a week).

Thanks for R.G. Holmes. This is the Album version. I'm searching for the Single Edit. I may edit/fade out the Album version but very often Single Edit is not just shortened Album version.

Hello Professor,
Just a couple corrections on earlier parts: in Part 61.16, the song should be "The Touchables In Brooklyn," but if I'm not mistaken, it is actually just a repeat of "The Touchables," so is incorrect. Also, on your artwork from Part 65.56, it lists Roy Orbison's "Crawling Back" as the flip side, when it was actually the side that charted. I also have the Pozo Seco Singers "Down The Road The Go:" I'll upload it later today.

Hi Dockman,
1. Dickie Goodman „The Touchables” reached #60. “The Touchables In Brooklyn” reached #42 and it is a different track, same style but a different content – I have both on compilation CD “Politically Correct”. Then, there is no error in 61.16.
2. "Crawling Back" is obviously the A-side. My mistake, to be corrected soon.
3. Awaiting Pozo-Seco Singers.
4. One more track has to be added to the wish-list: Jazz Crusaders “Scratch”, 1966 studio version (2:37) – quality of a copy that I have is not acceptable.

Hi Professor, Here is the Pozo Seco Singers track. Not very good quality, I'm afraid, but hopefully better than none at all. Thanks for your efforts!

Many Thanks. The track, after some minor Audacity cleaning is absolutely acceptable. This is a very rare track and only 45 copies exist, at least I couldn't find a master copy on CD.

I'm not sure that this is the 7' version. Its time is 4:47 while time on the label is 3:25?

Hi Professor,
I'm somewhat behind you in listening to all these, so, once again, I have some observations on earlier parts. In Part 61.18, you have the English language versions of the Mina single, whereas the actual US Time 45 that charted was in the Italian language. I used to have that single in my collection. I don't know about the flip side, as I don't recall listening to it, but I would assume that was in Italian as well, rather than English. In Part 64.57, you have the full-length album version of Jerry Lee Lewis' "High Heel Sneakers" rather than the single edit. I can send you the single edit if you need it. Also, as Mitch mentioned in the 1964 section, Gloria Lynne's "I Wish You Love" seems to be a defective track. I can send you another if need be. Thanks for everything!

It came from a compilation so I don't know. I will keep searching.

1. Mina single: according to Whitburn’s book, the songs are in Italian. Mina recorded these songs in 1960, English versions in 1961, i.e. the year when they charted. I have decided to include both versions as I’m really not 100% sure that US single versions are the Italian ones. The A-side time on the label is 2:20, while time on every compilation that I have (4 compilations) is 2:54?? Then, if you have original 45 and time is really 2:20, then please send it to me. Same B-side Italian version, time on the label and time on compilations are different?
2. J.L. Lewis track is taken from the “Greatest Live Shows On Earth” album and this is the version that appears on 45 (J.L.L. recorded this tune many times). Its time, as copied from the CD, is 3:56 but together with the applause and chatter. I have edited this track and now time is 3:30 while the label time is 2:43. Please check the effect and if you have an edit that lasts 2:43, then, I’ll greatly appreciate your support.
3. G. Lynne: I have this song on 6 different compilations/albums already ripped to mp3 and all they are ok. I have no idea why Part 64.02 version is distorted. I’ll replace immediately.
Many many thanks for your remarks. I’m treating this project as the research, the reference point and I’m very grateful for all the remarks that help me debugging it. Probably still there are plenty of bugs and please continue your support in the debugging process.

I have search the Internet to find whether Mina US 45 was in English and it looks that YES, it was in English, however radio stations played Italian version? B-side was definitely the English version! Nevertheless, now both versions are included in 61.18.

Hi Professor,

Here is the recording I made of Mina's original Time 45 before I got rid of what was left of my collection eight years ago. But you are right, it is 2:50 rather than 2:20 as listed on the label. Here also is the single edit of Jerry Lee Lewis "High Heel Sneakers."

Mina's original Time 45 is the same as the version that is present in many compilations, e.g. Tutto Mina.
Thank you very much for single edit of J.L. Lewis, available only on original 45. I have all Bear Family releases of J.L. Lewis and only full version is there.
Also, I have detected one more missing track: Dana Rollins, Patty's Pad (1:31) - quality of a copy that I have is not acceptable (same as the one on YouTube).

Another year finished in your huge project - thanks for sharing this with us all. 1966 was a transition year for me, personally. I found myself in the military, and in Texas for training, and eventual assignment to Asia. Pop music disappeared, and everything was country music for half a year. i missed many of these songs, and even more from the next couple of years.
Thanks for keeping the memories alive!
Cheers,
Mike M
