Betty Miller. Known as Britain’s first female rock ‘n’ roll singer. She was a dancer whose career in that field was ended after a car crash. She then got a job as a singer with the Sid Phillips Band, making her recording debut with the band on HMV in 1953 and was one of the first artists signed to Pye’s Nixa label in 1955, debuting with “Georgia’s Got A Moon”, which was reputedly produced / worked on by Joe Meek, before signing to Top Rank in 1959 (released two singles). Lisa Noble. British pop-rock singer – recorded two singles in 1958, on Decca.

The North Stars. British beat band from Manchester, founded in 1965 by

Vic Long (singer and guitar player), released two singles on Fontana.

Nikki Papas. Obscure British rock singer. Released two singles on Parlophone, the first (1959) with Rita Williams Singers and acc. directed by Geoff Love, the second (1960) with acc. directed by Tony Osborne.

Clyde Ray. He was lead singer with Tony Crombie's Rockets, in 1957 and 1958 released two solo singles,  on Columbia.

Mark Peters & The Silhouettes. Beat group from Liverpool, formed in 1963: Mark Peters – vocals; Dave May - bass guitar; Mally Aston - rhythm guitar; Rod McClelland - lead guitar; Steve Fleming – keyboards; Brian Johnson – drums. Together they recorded one single and one EP track.

Mark Peters, whose real name was Mark Fleming, was later backed by many different groups. In 1964 released two singles, in 1965 the last one, credited to Mark Peters Methods
