Rare Brit Pop, Discog...s of Lost Artists Pt. 188: Vern Rogers (Paul Conway); The Cameos; The Foresters

 

The Cameos. Family Trio: Guy Fletcher; Barbara Fletcher; Edward Stuart Fletcher. Introduced to Joe Meek after The Guy Fletcher Trio sang impromptu with The Checkmates after a show. Joe Meek was looking for a session singing group and The Fletchers got the job, and as The Cameos had their first record released in August 1963. The second and the last single has been released in 1964. (45cat.com)

Another group named The Cameos (female duo) appeared on the UK music scene, in 1968.

The Foresters. Pop-beat group from Greater London: Barrie Holland (vocals), Peter Braithwaite (lead guitar, vocals), Rusty Douch (rhythm guitar), Ron Skillett (bass, vocals), Bob Douch (drums). Between 1965 and 1967 released six singles (3 on Polydor, 3 on Columbia).

Paul Conway. British singer. He used to go under the name
Vern Rogers
(aka Roger Newell). The Hi-Fi's were his backing group 1957-1963. Released four singles on Oriole, credited to Vern Rogers.
In 1964, as Paul Conway, he released two singles, on Piccadilly Label.
