Rare Brit Pop, Discog...s of Lost Artists Pt. 193: Richard Allan; Lyn Cornell; The Confederates Jazzband; The Simmons

 

Richard Allan. British singer.  He made three UK singles, released by Parlophone, in 1960.

Lyn Cornell. English singer. Her career started with The Vernons Girls on Parlophone Records in 1958. She had her first solo release on Decca Records in 1960. Between 1960 and 1963 recorded nine singles, all released by Decca, one of them (Never On Sunday) made it to #30 on the UK charts. In 1972 she formed The Pearls.

The Confederates Jazzband. Obscure British trad-jazz band. In 1961 released two singles on Decca.

The Simmons. They were Alan and Keith Simmons, from Kent. Their first major and the only venture was to record for Pye Records. The outcome of the session was 'Take Me Where The Sun Shines'/’LeAnne’, which was produced by Tony Hatch and included Jimmy Page on guitar and Ronnie Verrall on drums. (45cat.com)
